Zigir Oil Premium 0.5 l
Description
1. How it is grown and harvested: Zigir Premium is produced from flaxseed grown in Uzbekistan and harvested when the seed capsules are ripe and dry. The seeds are cleaned and pressed to obtain an oil with a clean, nutty flavour. Premium is our top-tier line of zigir oil, intended for customers who look for the best of our range. Flax has been grown in Central Asia for centuries, and zigir oil is a traditional part of Uzbek cuisine. The flax seeds are harvested when fully ripe, cleaned and dried carefully before pressing so that the oil keeps its fresh, mild nutty flavour and bright golden colour.
2. Processing and packaging details: The oil is settled, filtered and bottled in 0.5 litre and 1 litre bottles. Store in a cool, dark place, keep tightly closed and use within the period stated on the label. The oil is checked for clarity, taste and freshness before bottling, and dark or opaque bottles help protect it from light. The bottle is sealed to protect the oil from air until opening. After opening, the oil should be kept refrigerated and used within the period stated on the label to keep its fresh taste. Store in a cool, dark place (ideally 4–10 °C), tightly closed. After opening, keep refrigerated and use within the period stated on the label. Do not heat to high temperatures.
3. Health benefits and nutrition: Zigir Premium is rich in plant omega-3 (ALA), which contributes to normal blood cholesterol levels, and also contains omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids and vitamin E. A spoonful a day added to salads or cold dishes is an easy way to increase plant omega-3 intake. Because flaxseed oil is one of the richest plant sources of omega-3, it is especially valued by people who eat little fish, as well as vegetarians and vegans. Use cold in salads, with vegetables, porridge, cottage cheese, smoothies and bread. Not recommended for frying. Premium bottling makes it suitable for gifts and premium retail. Flaxseed oil can also be mixed with cottage cheese and potatoes in a traditional combination valued in many Eastern European and Central Asian households.
