Description

1. How it is grown and harvested: Peanuts have become an important crop for farmers in Uzbekistan, especially in the Fergana Valley and the southern regions, where long, hot summers and light irrigated soils provide the conditions that the crop needs. These kernels come from peanuts grown in Uzbekistan. After harvest, drying and shelling, the kernels are roasted to a golden colour, which brings out their rich, nutty flavour and crunchy texture. Roasting is carefully controlled so that the kernels are cooked evenly through without becoming bitter. The peanuts are grown on irrigated fields in Uzbekistan’s hot summers, harvested in autumn and dried in the field before shelling. Roasting is done without added oil, which keeps the kernels light and highlights their natural flavour.

2. Processing and packaging details: After roasting, the kernels are cooled, sorted and inspected to remove over-roasted or damaged kernels and foreign matter, then packed in moisture-resistant packaging that keeps them fresh. This product is available in limited volumes. Peanuts must be kept dry and cool (ideally below 15 °C, relative humidity below 65%) to protect quality and prevent spoilage. In-shell peanuts keep their quality for up to 12 months; kernels are best used within 6–12 months in closed packaging. Each lot can be supplied with export documentation, including a phytosanitary certificate and certificate of origin, on request.

3. Health benefits and nutrition: Roasted peanuts provide plant protein, healthy fats, fibre, niacin, vitamin E, folate and magnesium. Peanuts are a major allergen. Their protein and healthy fats provide lasting energy, making roasted peanuts a filling snack. Peanuts are naturally gluten-free and a valuable plant protein source for vegetarian and vegan diets. Roasted peanut kernels are used as a snack, in salads and Asian dishes, in confectionery, bakery and ice-cream toppings, and in peanut butter. They are also ready for coating with chocolate, honey or spices. Their crunchy texture also makes them a popular ingredient in Asian salads, noodle dishes and satay-style sauces.
