Description

1. How it is grown and harvested: Uzbekistan is among the world’s largest producers of apricots, and apricot drying is a centuries-old tradition in the Fergana Valley, Samarkand and the foothill regions. Hot, dry summers with almost no rain during harvest allow the fruit to be dried naturally in the open air, and the large difference between day and night temperatures gives the fruit a high sugar content and a rich aroma. Isfarak apricots come from a traditional variety cultivated in the Fergana Valley, a region famous for its apricot orchards. The fruit is allowed to ripen fully on the tree to develop its characteristic aroma and high sugar content, then harvested by hand. After the stone is removed, the apricots are dried naturally until they reach a dense, chewy texture and a deep, honey-like flavour.

2. Processing and packaging details: The dried apricots are cleaned, washed and inspected for stone fragments and defects, then sorted by size and colour. The product is packed in food-grade liners inside export cartons that protect it from moisture and keep its aroma intact during storage and transport. Because Isfarak is available in limited volumes, it is well suited to speciality and premium programmes. The product is offered in two calibres: Size 1 (large, select fruit) and Size 4 (smaller fruit, an economical choice for processing, baking and compotes). Store dried apricots in a cool, dry place (ideally 5–15 °C, relative humidity below 65%), away from direct sunlight. Cold storage helps preserve colour and softness for longer. Under proper conditions the product keeps its quality for 12 months or more. Each lot can be supplied with export documentation, including a phytosanitary certificate and certificate of origin, on request.

3. Health benefits and nutrition: Isfarak apricots are rich in potassium and beta-carotene and also provide iron, magnesium, dietary fibre and natural fruit sugars for energy. They are a naturally sweet, nutritious snack that fits into a balanced, healthy diet. Isfarak’s dense texture and rich aroma make it a special product for customers who appreciate regional varieties and authentic flavour. It is delicious with green tea, with cheese and nuts, or chopped into desserts and baking, where its honeyed taste stands out. Like all dried apricots, it is naturally fat-free and suitable for vegetarian and vegan diets. Isfarak apricots are ideal for premium retail packs, gift assortments and gourmet shops, as well as for desserts, baking, cheese boards and festive tables.
